Hills Blue and Macarthur maintained their perfect records on Day 3 of the 2019 Australian Senior League Championship in Lismore.

Hills overcame Brisbane Metro and Damian Eagles tossed a complete game shutout for Macarthur in an impressive win of the Adelaide Titans.

Western Suns 15, Sunraysia Giants 5 | Box Score

Western Suns wrapped up pool play at #ASLC2019 with a 2-1 record following an impressive 15-5 win over Sunraysia Giants.

The Suns scored nine runs in the second to break the contest open.

Daniel Carter finished with a team-high three RBI, while Tyson Noel, Dustin Brown and Trent Daniele drove in two runs each.

Western Suns starter Andrew Hurrelbrink struck out three in two scoreless innings.

Cody Morrish’s two-run double in the fifth helped the Giants cut the deficit to 10.

 

Manly 8, Twins 5 | Box Score

Manly held off a fast-finishing Twins to prevail 8-5 on Diamond 2 in their Pool B finale in Lismore.

A six-run second inning put Manly out to a comfortable lead before Twins chipped away before falling short.

Luke Brown drove in three runs for Manly and finished with two hits along with Caden Crouch.

Bailey Marcola drove in two runs for Twins.

Relief pitcher Tim Liersch finished with four strikeouts for Twins.

Manly improved its record to 2-1 following the win.

 

Hills Blue 8, Brisbane Metro 3 | Box Score

Hills Blue overturned an early deficit against Brisbane Metro to remain unbeaten following pool play.

A three-run third inning put Hills on top on their way to an 8-3 win on diamond two.

William Edwards and Riley Watson both drove in two runs for Hills Blue.

Joshua Anthony had two hits for Brisbane Metro.

Hills take on Twins in the quarter final stage while Metro meet Manly.

 

Macarthur 4, Adelaide Titans 0 | Box Score

Macarthur starting pitcher Damian Eagles tossed a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win over Adelaide Titans to seal top spot in Pool B

Eagles struck out three hitters and gave up just three hits in a dominant seven inning outing.

Jacob Veres put Macarthur on top with a two-out RBI-single in the first inning

They added three runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal a third win in as many attempts.

Owen Glover finished with two runs batted in to provide offensive support for Eagles.

Macarthur will face Sunraysia Giants in a quarter final on Wednesday.
