Roos 4-2 Dingos (F/8) - 6 August 2017

Four early runs for the Roos proved the difference, as they withheld a late Dingos rally to claim a 4-2 victory in the final game of the 2017 MLBAAP.

Blake Townsend (VIC) was outstanding in his two-inning start for the Roos, striking out five and only allowing one hit. 

Jake Taylor (WA) was the only Roos player to claim multiple hits, while Chase Diggins (WA) and Ethan Stacy (NSW) both picked up a hit and an RBI on the day.

Liam MacDonald (QLD) picked up two hits for the Dingos, with Tyson Zamora (QLD) and Ciaran Palmer (NZ) driving in the Dingos' two runs.

Coen Wynne (NSW) threw well for the Dingos, striking out five and not allowing a hit in two relief innings. 

The Dingos scored runs in the seventh and eighth inning, but failed to complete the comeback.

Roos 4-4 Dingos (F/10) - 5 August 2017

The Dingos plated four runs in the first three innings, but the Roos didn't go away, scoring four late runs to complete the comeback and finish the game tied at four.

Jess Williams (WA) and Jamie Young (VIC) both claimed three hits in strong performances for the Dingos, with Young and Matt Martinson (NSW) driving in two runs apiece.

Jake Green (ACT) and Duane Johannsen (QLD) both allowed minimal baserunners in their outings on the mound for the Dingos, with Johannsen tossing two hitless relief innings.

Elliot Johnstone (NZ) struck out three and only surrendered one hit for the Roos, with leftie Jack O'Loughlin (SA) also throwing strongly, tossing two scoreless innings.

Nic Anderson-Vine (NSW), Mitch Edwards (ACT) and Dawson Summers (WA) all picked up two hits for the Roos, with Anderson-Vine, Jake Taylor (WA) and Nick Hosie (ACT) driving in a run each.

Dingos 7-2 Roos - 4 August 2017

Early runs from the Dingos again proved the difference, as they claimed a 7-2 win over the Roos at the 2017 MLBAAP.

Jess Willams (WA) lead off exceptionally well for the Dingos, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and an RBI, while Alex Hall (WA) nailed a home run and picked up three RBI in a solid performance.

Kyle Glogoski (NZ) struck out three and only gave up one hit in his two-inning start, while Jackson Boyd (VIC) also performed well on the mound, striking out three in three scoreless innings. 

Nic Anderson-Vine (NSW), Chase Diggins (WA) and Jake Taylor (WA) claimed a hit each for the Roos, with Anderson-Vine and Mitch Edwards (ACT) driving in a run each.

Roos 3-2 Dingos - 3 August 2017

The Roos finally broke through for their first win of the MLBAAP, defeating the Dingos 3-2 at Surfers Paradise Baseball Club.

Josh Bedgood (QLD) gave the Roos a great start on the mound, striking out four in two shutout innings, while fellow QLDer Luke Turner also impressed, throwing two hitless innings of relief.

Dawson Summers (WA) claimed a hit and an RBI for the Roos, with outfielder Nic Anderson-Vine (NSW) also drove in a run. Jett Wright (WA) chimed in with a hit, and made some slick plays at third base to keep the Dingos offence at bay.

Jess Williams (WA) was solid in relief for the Dingos, striking out three in two innings. Jamie Young (VIC) also threw strongly, not allowing a baserunner in two perfect frames.

Alex Hall (WA) was the only player on either side to claim multiple hits on the day, while Bruce Wang (CHI) picking up the Dingos' only earned run.

Dingos 5-3 Roos - 2 August 2017

The Dingos kept it rolling as the MLB Australian Academy Program continued today, defeating the Roos 5-3.

Duane Johannsen (QLD) gave the Dingos a solid start, tossing two scoreless innings to begin the ballgame. Johannsen was backed up well by his offence, with three hits from leadoff man Jess Williams (WA) and a massive three run bomb from Ciaran Palmer (NZ).

Rixon Wingrove (NSW) had a fantastic day at the plate for the Roos, going 3-for-3 with a double, two home runs and two walks. Jack O'Loughlin (SA) again had another strong outing, striking out five and only allowing one hit in two innings. 

Roos closer Mitchell Skinner (NSW) kept the strong Dingos offence at bay, striking out four in two perfect relief innings to end the ballgame.

Dingos 10-7 Roos - 1 August 2017

The Dingos scored runs early and late to hold off a consistent Roos outfit and record their fourth win in as many days at the MLB Australian Academy Program.

Jess Williams (WA) started off with a bang for the Dingos, belting a leadoff home run before Jamie Young (VIC) quickly followed suit to give his team a lead in the blink of an eye.

Ciaran Palmer (NZ) and Jacob Amos (NSW) both claimed two RBI each for the Dingos, while Alex Hall (WA) finished with a pair of base hits.

Jackson Boyd (VIC) threw well on the mound for the Dingos, striking out three and only giving up one hit in two relief innings.

Chris Burke (VIC) had a strong day for the Roos, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while Dermot Fritsch (QLD) nailed a double and triple from his three at bats.

James Boeree (NSW) and Frazer Brice (WA) both had excellent relief outings for the Roos, striking out three each and not allowing a baserunner in four innings.

Dingos 5-0 Roos - 31 July 2017

For the third day in a row, the Dingos put in a solid performance, defeating the Roos 5-0 at Surfers Paradise Baseball Club.

Ethan Stacy (NSW) was the only Roos player to claim a hit on the day, while Nic Anderson-Vine (NSW) showed patience at the plate claiming three walks from his four plate appearances.

Blake Townsend (VIC) was one of the Roos best pitchers, striking out three and not allowing a hit in two innings of relief, while starting pitcher Josh Bedggood (QLD) also managed to keep to Dingos offence at bay.

The Dingos were lead offensively by Rixon Wingrove (NSW), who managed a pair of singles, while Jack Bowins (WA), Rhys De Highden (VIC), Jarryd Dale (VIC) and Ji Liang Rong (CHI) all chimed in with an RBI apiece.

Coen Wynne (NSW) made a strong start for the Dingos on the mound, striking out three and only allowing one walk, while Jamie Young (VIC) also struck out three in a strong performance.

Dingos 4-2 Roos (F/10) - 30 July 2017

The Dingos gave up a pair of early runs, but fought back to claim a tight 4-2 win on Day 2 of the MLBAAP at Surfers Paradise Baseball Club.

Tyson Zamora (QLD) and Jordan Barnett (VIC) were the only Dingos players to claim multiple hits on the day with two apiece, while Jacob Amos (NSW), Ricky Deeble (QLD) and Ciaran Palmer (VIC) all managed to drive in a run for the Dingos.

Duane Johannsen (QLD) struck out three in his two inning start on the mound for the Roos, while the back end of the ballgame was shut down by Matthew Roberts (QLD) and Tyson McKee (SA) who each threw two scoreless innings to seal the Dingos second win in as many days.

Roos starting pitcher Jack O'Loughlin (SA) was outstanding, striking out five in two perfect innings, while in relief, Elliot Johnstone (NZ) and Liam Holm (NSW) both tossed a pair of scoreless frames.

The Roos hitters struggled all day against the Dingos pitching staff, with Dermot Fritsch (QLD), Jake Taylor (WA), Mitch Edwards (ACT) Josh Bedggood (QLD) each claiming a hit.

The Roos threatened in the final frame with the winning run in the box, but couldn't make the most of the opportunity, going down in another quality ballgame.

Dingos 6-4 Roos (F/10) - 29 July 2017

The Dingos came away with the first win of the 2017 MLBAAP, grinding out a hard-fought 6-4 win against the Roos at Surfers Paradise Baseball Club.

Jess Williams (WA) was the Dingos best offensive player, as he went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI from the leadoff spot. The Dingos continued to hit well as a team, with Wade Chant (SA) and Ji Liang Rong (CHI) each picking up an RBI each. 

Liam Evans (VIC) was one of the more impressive pitchers for the Dingos, striking out three and only giving up the one hit in two innings of work.

Mitch Edwards (ACT) and Chris Burke (VIC) both claimed two hits apiece for the Roos, with Hayden Lyberopoulos (NSW) picking up two RBI.

216cm pitcher James Boeree (NSW) threw well for the Roos, as he struck out two in two scoreless innings of relief.
