The Summer League season continued with another awesome weekend of baseball across juniors, seniors and masters.

Women's Week 15

In Women's Division 1, Essendon shut out Footscray 15-0 on Wednesday as Doncaster won 17-4 at Springvale. On Saturday, Springvale prevailed 5-4 at Essendon as Doncaster picked up a 15-4 win at Footscray.

Springvale Women's Division 2 kept up the momentum in a 16-8 victory over Essendon while Melbourne won 14-3 against Footscray. Newport defeated Geelong 19-8 as North Western won 19-6 over the Rams' second side.

A Waverley Women's Division 3 East matchup saw the Red team win 16-14. Upwey Ferntree Gully outlasted Research Lower Plenty 12-8 and Preston recorded a 10-4 result at Malvern.

In Women's Division 3 South, South East Warriors remain undefeated after a 16-4 performance vs. Springvale. Berwick won 8-3 over Cheltenham as Moorabbin prevailed 14-11 at St Kilda. Chelsea ended up 14-9 over Pakenham.

Essendon Women's Division 3 West outpaced Mitchell Majors 16-9 and Newport beat Geelong 14-6. A close one between Port Melbourne and Alfredton went the Mariners' way 7-6 as Werribee won 8-6 at North Western. Fitzroy picked up an 18-7 victory at Williamstown.

Seniors Week 16

Division 1 Firsts: Malvern got the job done 8-5 at Berwick as Mulgrave won a close one 5-4 at Geelong. Melbourne scored early on the way to a 4-1 win over Sunshine as Sandringham defeated Essendon 14-3. Upwey Ferntree Gully edged Blackburn 4-3 and Moorabbin sealed the deal 9-8 in extra innings at Waverley.

Division 2 Firsts: Newport cruised to an 18-2 victory over St Kilda as Preston won 26-4 over North Western. Port Melbourne won 7-1 at Bonbeach and Doncaster won 3-1 at Cheltenham. Ormond Glenhuntly defeated Fitzroy 19-9 while Williamstown beat Werribee 7-1.

Division 3 Firsts: Pakenham and Geelong kept up the pressure at the plate, with Pumas eventually winning 19-13. Sandringham won 14-2 at Chelsea and Port Melbourne overpowered Footscray 23-9.

Division 4 East: Research Gold put up an impressive rally but Melbourne Red still pulled off a 10-9 victory. Research Maroon won 6-1 over Waverley Black and Melbourne Blue won 15-2 at Blackburn. Monash finished 12-7 in front of Waverley Red while Research Black ended up 9-6 vs. Doncaster.

Division 4 North: a Fitzroy contest saw the Maroon side pull off a 17-10 victory over Blue while Alfredton beat Newport 12-8. North Coburg won 13-8 at Essendon.

Division 4 South: Springvale scored 19 while keeping South East Warriors off the board. Pakenham White also picked up a shutout victory, recording a 22-0 result against Chelsea White. St Kilda scored won 8-5 over Pakenham Black as the two Upwey Ferntree Gully sides drew 6-6.

Masters Week 16

Masters 38+ East saw Blackburn win 5-3 over Melbourne and Waverley beat Ormond Glenhuntly 13-8. Upwey Ferntree Gully Black got the job done 13-2 against Monash/Ormond Glenhuntly while the Tigers Gold team outlasted Research Lower Plenty 11-6.

In Masters 38+ North West, Newport snuck past Pivot City 6-5 as Port Melbourne prevailed 6-4 over Sunshine White. Sunshine Blue beat Fitzroy 6-2 as Essendon Jets held on for a 9-7 win at Werribee. Essendon Bombers won 6-1 at Williamstown.

In Masters 38+ South, Bonbeach Blue beat Sandringham 7-3 while Cheltenham had the upper hand over Bluejays White, winning 17-3. Springvale Bigcats secured a 9-8 win over Mornington in the final inning and Springvale Tomatoes beat Pakenham/Berwick 12-1.

Blackburn improved to 12-0 in Masters 45+ after an 11-6 victory at Malvern as Sandringham rallied late to beat Melbourne 11-9.

Juniors Week 15

U14 East Metro: Malvern beat Doncaster 13-7 and Upwey Ferntree Gully won 18-8 over Berwick/Mulgrave. Waverley pulled away late for a 7-4 victory vs. Cheltenham while Pakenham snuck past Melbourne 14-13. Bonbeach/Chelsea scored early on the way to a 12-4 win at Sandringham.

U14 West Metro: Port Melbourne was busy at the plate in a 17-3 outing against Research Lower Plenty while Newport Footscray edged Sunshine 16-15. Essendon won 18-7 at North Western.

U14 East State: Chelsea shut out Malvern 11-0 as Essendon beat Sandringham 15-2. Moorabbin ended up 13-5 against Melbourne and Waverley won 17-0 at Blackburn.

U14 West State: Geelong battled back to win 11-7 over Essendon while Research Lower Plenty also picked up a victory, winning 17-7 against Newport. Werribee finished 13-7 in front of Sunshine.

U14 Baycats: Geelong Lugnuts had the edge, defeating Snappers 13-10.

U16 Metro: Fitzroy Blue won 14-6 at Blackburn/Doncaster as Essendon had the upper hand in a 16-3 contest at Fitzroy Maroon. Port Melbourne came back to win 10-9 over North Western as Research/Preston also staged a comeback, winning 7-5 at Waverley. Malvern scored 27 while keeping Werribee to just one as Sandringham also scored 27 in a shutout at Williamstown.

U16 State: Sandringham scored each inning on the way to a 13-3 win over Moorabbin. Waverley narrowly defeated Williamstown 6-5 as Research/Preston also had a close one with a 12-11 victory at Doncaster. Geelong blanked Newport 10-0.

U18 Metro: Cheltenham recorded a 7-2 result against Doncaster as Essendon pulled ahead late for a 9-8 win over Mulgrave. Pakenham prevailed 12-6 vs. Sandringham and St Kilda kept busy at the plate in a 25-9 outing at Sunshine.

U18 State: Blackburn Upwey FTG scored late to beat Werribee 4-3 and Geelong won 6-4 against Preston/Research. Malvern shut out Waverley 14-0 as Essendon blanked Bonbeach Moorabbin 10-0. Newport won 16-6 at Melbourne.

Under 12s Week 14

U12 A State East: Blackburn put up runs in every inning for a 9-3 win over Waverley. Melbourne scored 15 and gave up one to Bonbeach as Sandringham won 15-7 at Cheltenham/Moorabbin. Chelsea picked up a 14-7 win at Malvern.

U12 A State West: Research Maroon pulled ahead late for a 9-6 victory at Newport as Geelong sealed the deal 16-12 over Port Melbourne. Werribee won 17-7 at Sunshine.

U12 B East: Melbourne scored 14 while keeping Berwick off the board as Sandringham defeated Chelsea 7-4.

U12 B West: Essendon won 16-6 over Newport Red while Fitzroy Maroon kept up the pressure in a 9-6 victory against Williamstown. Preston picked up a 15-6 win at Research Blue.

U12 Baycats: Geelong Mudhens ended up 17-7 vs. Firefrogs and Lake Monsters won 15-13 against Riverdogs.

Southern Mariners Intermediate: Moorabbin beat Ormond Glenhuntly 14-8 while Sandringham scored 17 in a shutout at Bonbeach/Chelsea. The Dolphins won 20-1 at Cheltenham Blue.

Eastern Athletics Metro A: Blackburn Grey scored 12 runs in a shutout victory against Malvern Blue. Blackburn White prevailed 12-7 over Ormond Glenhuntly as a Doncaster matchup saw Gold beat Green 3-0. Greenhills Monty Black had an edge over the White side 5-1 as Upwey Ferntree Gully came back for a 6-5 win vs. Blackburn Black. Melbourne and Malvern Red drew 2-2.

Eastern Athletics Metro B Gold: Malvern's derby saw Red pull off a 20-13 victory over Blue as Ormond Glenhuntly won 18-8 at Blackburn. Melbourne Red held on for a 25-22 win against Melbourne Blue while the Stars won 22-11 over Melbourne White.

Eastern Athletics Metro B Green: Waverley Wildcats racked up 30 runs as Doncaster scored 22. Waverley Panthers won 28-10 at Upwey FTG Gold as the Cougars beat the Blackcats 19-3. Upwey FTG White and Black drew at 18 runs apiece.
