Little League Major
Mariners 11, Mets 7
Even though Mariners gave up six runs in the fifth inning, they still defeated Mets 11-7 on Saturday. Huga Turnley, Flynn Suggett, and Max Talpey all drove in runs in the frame.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Mariners collected seven hits and Mets had eight in the high-scoring game.
Mariners tallied five runs in the fourth inning with walks by Liam Johnston and Spencer Evans and singles by Patrick Begic and Samuel Wang.
Sage Weisinger got the start for Mariners. The fireballer allowed six hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
Huga was on the hill for Mets. Huga allowed four hits and three runs over three innings, striking out three. Flynn Scargill, Van Andel Kohen, and Christian Papadopoulos all contributed in relief for Mets.
Sage, Samuel, Patrick, Reuben Lian, Cooper Sampson, Brodie Leigh, and Ezekial Saville each collected one hit to lead Mariners.
Flynn led Mets with two hits in two at-bats.
Mets 3, Twins 2
Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Saturday, but Mets ultimately defeated Twins 3-2. Mets pitchers allowed just two hits to Twins.
George Steer got the start for Mets. The fireballer surrendered two runs on two hits over five and a third innings, striking out ten and walking one.
Maisen Ricketts was on the mound for Twins. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out five. James Dennis threw one-third of an inning in relief.
Cruize Chase went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Mets in hits. The team was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error as Archie Rose made the most plays with 11.
Athletics 20, Twins 7
Twins lost the lead late in a 20-7 defeat to Athletics on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Athletics batting in the top of the fifth when Rowlands Joshua induced Welte Finn to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Twins collected nine hits and Athletics had 14 in the high-scoring game. Athletics got their offense started in the first as Tayler Jacob drove in two on a single.
Twins knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the fourth inning, when two runs scored on a wild pitch.
Athletics scored ten runs in the sixth inning with RBIs for Reiley Marshall, Jack Downs, Joel Roberts, Finn, Oliver Allen, and Jacob.
Finn toed the rubber for Athletics. The hurler lasted three and a third innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out four.
Daniel started the game for Twins. The bulldog went four innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out four. Joshua, Thomas Macaulay, and Cooper Vincent all contributed in relief. Cooper led Twins with two hits in three at-bats.
Athletics tallied 14 hits. Oliver, Cooper Box, and Edison Bush all managed multiple hits for Athletics. Oliver went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the way.
Mariners 9, Rangers 5
Rangers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-5 loss to Mariners on Saturday. Mariners took the lead on a Toby Browning single in the first inning.
Rangers scored five runs in the third inning with Tony Huang, Aiden Incoll, John Gogos, and Ryder Ochoa all driving in runs. Mariners added four runs in the third inning with RBIs from Leigh Brodie and Toby.
Alexander Wavish was on the mound for Mariners. The ace surrendered five runs on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
Xavier Woodcock toed the rubber for Rangers, allowing 11 hits and nine runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Ryder, Cooper Bicknell, and Chase Potts each collected one hit to lead Rangers. Mariners tallied 11 hits on the day, with two apiece for Alexander and Toby.

Twins 9, Athletics 7
Despite a 6-run deficit in the first inning, Athletics almost came all the way back, eventually falling 9-7 to Twins on Friday. Athletics scored seven runs in the comeback attempt with a double by Harrison P and a walk by Peter B in the first, followed by an error, walk, Alexander double, and Charlie F single in the third.
Athletics fell behind early in the loss. Twins scored in the first on an error, a single by Lucas E, a walk by Jacob L, and a walk by Ali R.
Athletics tallied four runs in the third inning with a walk by Harrison, a single by Charlie, an error on a ball put in play by Oliver F, and a double by Alexander.
Jaxon W led things off on the pitcher's mound for Twins. The pitcher lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and seven runs while striking out six.
Harrison C started the game for Athletics. The bulldog lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and six runs while striking out one. Jackson C threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Harrison, Charlie, and Alexander all had one hit to lead Athletics.
Twins tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Isaac D led the way with four.
Rangers 16, Mets 4
Rangers overpowered Mets 16-4, getting things moving in the first inning on a Hugh H single.
Mets evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning, scoring on a stolen base.
Rangers pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. Ewan C singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Benjamin H drew a walk, scoring another. Patrick, Tate John, and Elliot F singled as Hugh doubled to keep the runs coming.
Rangers scored six runs in the fourth inning thanks to walks by Tate John and Hayden T, singles by Tyler V and Finn W, an error on a ball put in play by Mark N, and a double by Hugh.
Tate John led things off on the pitcher's mound for Rangers. The fireballer surrendered four runs on four hits over four innings, striking out three.
Hayden H was on the pitcher's mound for Mets. Hayden allowed four hits and six runs over one inning, striking out one. Levi E threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Hayden, Levi, Owen D, and Spencer T had one hit apiece for Mets. Spencer led with three of the team's 12 stolen bases.
Rangers tallied 14 hits on the day. Hugh went 3-for-3 as Elliot, Hayden, and Patrick had multiple hits, too. Rangers tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Patrick led the way with four.

Mariners 18, Belles 12
Mariners took the lead late and defeated Belles 18-12 on Saturday. Aidan B drew a walk to score a run with no outs in the bottom of the fourth.
Mariners collected nine hits and Belles had four in the high-scoring affair. Mariners got things started in the first inning as Leo W singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Belles knotted the game up at seven in the top of the third when Hayley D singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.
Griffin L got the start for Mariners. The hurler went one inning, allowing no hits or runs with three strikeouts.
Molly R was on the hill for Belles. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing five runs on four hits with a strikeout.
Audrey C and Alexandra E entered the game as relief, both throwing two-thirds of an inning. Belles didn't commit a single error in the field as Mia W had three chances, the most on the team.
Leo and Otis F had two hits apiece for Mariners.
Mariners Teal 23, Mets 14
Mets lost the lead late in a 23-14 defeat to Mariners Teal on Saturday. Mariners were down 12-11 in the top of the third inning when Teo S singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
Mets collected seven hits and Mariners Teal had 17 in the high-scoring game. Mariners opened up scoring in the first inning as Dallas H drew a walk to score a run.
Mets tied it up at 11 in the bottom of the second with a bases-loaded walk for Guru S. Their offensive firepower included six runs by Henry T, Mitchell S, and Leo N.
Mariners scored six runs in the fourth, led by Chris M, Gene B, Alexander T, Teo, and Ryder N, all with RBIs.
Teo was on the pitcher's mound for Mariners, throwing one and one-third innings, allowing three hits and ten runs while striking out three.
Cody I threw one and one-third innings for Mets, allowing 11 runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Leo threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Archie N led Mets with two hits in two at-bats. Mets stole nine bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Tiare A led the way with two.
Mariners Teal tallied 17 hits, including multiple for Teo, Quinn M, Ryder, Jordan A, and Gene. Dallas made the most fielding plays with four in an error-free game.

Athletics 18, Mets PB 17
It came down to the wire on Saturday, with Athletics securing victory on a dramatic walk-off single late in the game. It was tied at 17 with Athletics batting in the bottom of the fourth when Michael J singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Bats blistered as Athletics collected ten hits and Mets tallied two in the high-scoring game. Mets got things moving in the first inning as Tiare A drew a walk, scoring one run.
Athletics put up six runs in the third inning with Oliver F, Alexander K, and Josh M all driving in runs. Zach D got the start for Athletics, allowing six runs on zero hits.
Guru S was on the pitcher's mound for Mets. The hurler allowed eight hits and 16 runs over two and a third innings, striking out one. Tate S threw one-third of an inning in relief.
Oliver led Athletics with two hits in two at-bats. Athletics stole 14 bases during the game as three players stole more than one, including Peter B who led the way with three. Athletics didn't commit a single error in the field as Alexander had three chances, the most on the team.
Rangers 22, Mariners Teal 13
Mariners Teal watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 22-13 loss to Rangers on Saturday afternoon. Rangers scored on a single by Tate John, a stolen base by Riley F, a double by Elliot F, a single by Hayden T, and a single by Finn W in the first inning.
Rangers had 14 hits and Mariners collected 12 in the busy game. Mariners notched five runs in the third inning, led by Chris M, Teo S, and Dallas H, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs.
Rangers scored six runs in the fourth inning thanks to RBIs from Hayden, Finn, Aiden J, and Ewan C.
Aiden toed the rubber for Rangers, throwing two innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out two.
Quinn M led things off on the mound for Mariners. The hurler allowed eight hits and 12 runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one. Beau R threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Mariners collected 12 hits on the day, with Quinn going 3-for-3 and Gene B, Flynn R, and Chris recording multiple hits, too.
Ewan went 3-for-3 for Rangers as the team had 14 hits total, including multiple for Elliot, Finn, Hugh H, and Tate John. Rangers didn't commit a single error in the field as Ewan had four chances, the most on the team.
Mets 14, Belles 12
Despite a 12-run deficit in the fifth inning, Belles almost came all the way back, eventually falling 14-12 to Mets on Saturday. Belles scored seven runs in the rally on a error during Hayley D's at-bat and walks by Evangelynn L, Audrey C, Madeline H, Lucy G, and Taylor E.
Belles stayed right in it until Mets pulled in front for good in the fourth inning. Earlier, Mets fired up their offense in the first when Hayden H singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. They added 10 runs in the fifth with RBIs by Teal L, Levi E, Jax M, Hayden, Ry V, and Grant A.
Trace L toed the rubber for Mets. The pitcher allowed one hit and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
Hayley was on the mound for Belles. The pitcher allowed ten hits and seven runs over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Mia W and Sarah F entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Mia led Belles with two hits in two at-bats. Hayley led Belles with two stolen bases as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.
Mets racked up 22 hits in the game. Spencer T, Ry, Levi, Hayden, Trace, Teal, Owen D, and Grant all collected multiple hits. Mets tore up the base paths as six players stole at least two bases, including Jax who led the way with four.
