Women's Week 17
In Women's Division 1, Doncaster won 11-2 against Springvale and Essendon shut out Footscray 10-0.
Springvale Women's Division 2 snuck past Sandringham 8-7 and Melbourne defeated Newport 9-4. Essendon edged Geelong 4-3 and Doncaster ended up 11-2 over Footscray.
Research Women's Division 3 East went 8-7 against Malvern as Upwey Ferntree Gully prevailed 14-5 at Waverley Red. Waverley Black defeated Preston 13-4.
In Women's Division 3 South, Moorabbin and Pakenham kept busy at the plate, with the Panthers holding on for a 15-13 victory. South East Warriors won 13-2 at Chelsea and Springvale won 18-2 at Cheltenham. Berwick outlasted St Kilda 15-7.
Geelong Women's Division 3 West scored 23 runs and gave up just one to Mitchell Majors. Newport beat Fitzroy 13-1 as North Western rallied for an 18-17 victory over Williamstown. Werribee won 5-1 at Alfredton and Port Melbourne won 20-1 at Essendon.
Seniors Week 18
Division 1 Firsts: Melbourne won 6-5 over Malvern in extra innings as Waverley edged Geelong 4-3. Moorabbin and Mulgrave ended in a 6-6 draw while Blackburn won 7-5 against Essendon. Upwey Ferntree Gully outlasted Berwick 12-5 as Sandringham shut out Sunshine 7-0.
Division 2 Firsts: Cheltenham scored nine and kept Bonbeach off the board while Doncaster walked it off for a 7-6 win over Williamstown. Newport racked up 36 runs in a shutout vs. North Western and Ormond Glenhuntly defeated Werribee 5-1. Port Melbourne won 3-1 at Fitzroy and St Kilda beat Preston 9-5.
Division 3 Firsts: Pakenham picked up a 19-2 win at Port Melbourne while Essendon outlasted Footscray 19-9. Mornington won 7-6 over Sandringham in extra innings and Geelong blanked Chelsea 13-0.
Division 4 East: Research Maroon prevailed 15-7 over the Gold team as Melbourne Blue beat Doncaster 27-2. Waverley Red recorded an 18-2 result at Blackburn as Waverley Black won 12-2 at Monash. Melbourne Red shut out Research Black 10-0.
Division 4 North: Alfredton got the job done 15-6 over Essendon as Greensborough beat North Coburg 19-6. Mitchell Majors scored 18 while keeping Newport off the board and Footscray beat Fitzroy Maroon 12-4.
Division 4 South: Chelsea Blue beat Chelsea White 7-2 as Upwey FTG Gold prevailed 12-4 over Mornington. Springvale won 10-2 at Pakenham White as South East Warriors and St Kilda drew 6-6.
Masters Week 18
Masters 38+ East saw Blackburn win 18-5 over Research Lower Plenty. Ormond Glenhuntly outdid Upwey Ferntree Gully Gold 10-4 as Upwey Ferntree Gully Black edged Waverley 9-7. Melbourne got the job done 11-2 over Monash/Ormond Glenhuntly.
In Masters 38+ North West, Sunshine Blue defeated Pivot City 11-2. Williamstown struck early in a 9-4 win over Port Melbourne while Essendon Jets outlasted Fitzroy 8-4. Newport won 14-2 against Sunshine White and Essendon Bombers shut out Werribee 7-0.
In Masters 38+ South, Bonbeach Blue took care of business 15-3 against Pakenham/Berwick. Springvale Tomatoes got the better of the Bigcats 5-1 and Mornington won 8-1 against Bonbeach White. Cheltenham defeated Chelsea 4-1.
Blackburn Masters 45+ finished the regular season undefeated with a 10-3 outing vs. Melbourne as Sandringham beat Malvern 8-4.
Juniors Week 17
U14 East Metro: Melbourne won 15-6 against Berwick/Mulgrave and Upwey Ferntree Gully finished 16-4 in front of Doncaster. Waverley won 10-3 against Malvern as Pakenham edged Bonbeach/Chelsea 8-7 and Cheltenham won 14-11 at Sandringham.
U14 West Metro: Research Lower Plenty came away with a hard-fought 18-16 victory over Essendon while North Western outlasted Sunshine 12-9. Port Melbourne won 20-2 at Newport Footscray.
U14 East State: Chelsea beat Melbourne 11-3 and Essendon defeated Upwey Ferntree Gully 11-1. Sandringham won 10-4 at Blackburn as Waverley scored 18 in a shutout at Malvern.
U14 West State: Newport's late rally made it a 12-all draw with Werribee as Essendon won 12-5 over Research Lower Plenty. Geelong picked up a 14-4 victory over Sunshine.
U16 Metro: North Western outpaced Essendon 16-9 while Waverley cruised to a 25-3 victory over Fitzroy Blue. Werribee had the edge vs. Fitzroy Maroon, winning 13-10 as Sandringham came away with an 11-4 result against Research/Preston. Malvern tallied 19 runs in a shutout at Williamstown.
U16 State: Newport took care of business 11-3 against Waverley as Geelong narrowly defeated Doncaster 4-3. Research/Preston won 8-5 at Moorabbin while Williamstown prevailed 6-1 at Sandringham.
U18 Metro: Cheltenham kept up the pressure in a 12-6 outing vs. Pakenham. Essendon outdid Doncaster 6-3 as St Kilda won 7-4 over Mulgrave. Sandringham scored 21 runs and gave up four in a big victory at Sunshine.
U18 State: Blackburn Upwey FTG defeated Preston/Research 7-1 as Bonbeach Moorabbin beat Malvern 10-3. Geelong cruised to a 14-2 victory over Waverley while Werribee held on for a 5-3 win at Melbourne and Essendon won 4-1 at Sandringham.
Under 12s Week 16
U12 A State East: Blackburn won 20-1 vs. Cheltenham/Moorabbin and Chelsea scored 18 in a shutout over Bonbeach. Sandringham prevailed 17-8 against Malvern and Waverley edged Melbourne 5-2.
U12 A State West: Essendon beat Newport 14-2 as Research Lower Plenty Gold won 15-8 at Port Melbourne. Werribee rallied for a 10-8 victory at Research Maroon and Geelong shut out Sunshine 15-0.
U12 B East: Melbourne overpowered Chelsea 14-3 and Springvale beat Sandringham 6-3. St Kilda scored in every inning for an 11-4 victory at Berwick.
U12 B West: Fitzroy Blue held on for a 10-9 win over Newport Red as Research Blue pulled in front of Fitzroy Maroon 14-12. A close one between Preston and Essendon went the Pirates' way, 10-9.
Southern Mariners Intermediate: Bonbeach/Chelsea won 15-10 over Cheltenham White as Chelsea beat Moorabbin 17-7. Sandringham defeated Ormond Glenhuntly 12-3.
Eastern Athletics Metro A: Blackburn Black won 14-1 over the Burners White team as Grey won 11-5 vs. Ormond Glenhuntly. Doncaster Green beat Greenhills Monty Black 8-3 while Melbourne defeated Greenhills Monty White 7-2. Malvern Red defeated Doncaster Gold 8-4 and Upwey Ferntree Gully shut out Malvern Blue 7-0.
Eastern Athletics Metro B Gold: Malvern Blue held on for a 15-12 win at Melbourne Stars as Blackburn won 24-22 at Melbourne White. Melbourne Red won 19-11 at Ormond Glenhuntly while Malvern Red and Melbourne Blue drew with 20 runs apiece.
Eastern Athletics Metro B Green: Upwey FTG Gold outlasted Doncaster 29-21 as Upwey FTG White also won, beating Waverley Blackcats 20-18. Waverley Panthers won 25-13 against the Cougars and Wildcats beat Upwey FTG Black 24-20.
