Pool B standings are now official. Cronulla and Illawarra are through to quarter finals on Day 4 after finishing in the top two.
6.45pm Northern Metros sweep Day 3 doubleheader
Pool C result: Northern Metros 6, Coastal Bay Sharks 3
Northern Metros completed a sweep of their Day 3 doubleheader, downing Coastal Bay 6-3 on Diamond 1 at #ALLC2018.
The Metros scored three in the first and the fifth and it was enough to hold off a late rally from the Sharks.
James Brunskill, Jayden Allen and Jack Angeloff drove in runs for Northern.
Angeloff worked 2 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out five.
The Metros finished pool play with three wins and a loss.
Northern Metros completed a sweep of their Day 3 doubleheader, downing Coastal Bay 6-3 on Diamond 1 at #ALLC2018.
The Metros scored three in the first and the fifth and it was enough to hold off a late rally from the Sharks.

5.40pm Warriors top Brisbane Metro in extras
Pool B result: Southern Hills Warriors 15, Brisbane Metro 13
Southern Hills picked up their first win of #ALLC2018, topping Brisbane Metro in extra-innings on Diamond 2.
The Warriors scored two runs in the top of the sixth to force extras and added three in the top of the seventh to prevail 15-13.
Kalven Hancock drove in four runs for Southern Hills, while Brodie Franklin-Evans collected three hits.
Hope Vankan had four runs batted in for Brisbane Metro.
Southern Hills picked up their first win of #ALLC2018, topping Brisbane Metro in extra-innings on Diamond 2.
The Warriors scored two runs in the top of the sixth to force extras and added three in the top of the seventh to prevail 15-13.

Pool D result: Adelaide Seahawks 12, Swan Hills Aces 6
Adelaide Seahawks scored eight late runs to pick up a wild 12-6 win over Swan Hills Aces at #ALLC2018.
The Seahawks scored three in the fifth – headlined by a Drew Davies homer – and added five an inning later to extend their advantage.
Davies and Jack Bushell drove in three runs each for Adelaide.
Nicholas Paparella punched out six in relief.
Harrison Mayo and Kade Grow homered for the Aces.

Pool A standings are now official. Eastern Athletics and Gold Coast Cougars are through to quarter finals on Day 4 after finishing top two.

Jayden Allen’s RBI-single in extras lifted Northern Metros to a 5-4 win over Southern Mariners at #ALLC2018.
Allen singled to right field after Carlos Salas (double) and Jack Angeloff (walk) reached with none out to start the bottom of the seventh.
Cooper Sherwood was super on the mound for the Metros, striking out six in four innings of relief.
Allen finished with three runs batted in.
Northern Metros play Coastal Bay in about half hour on Diamond 1.

Ryde North completed a perfect opening round at #ALLC2018, downing Far North Coast for its fourth-straight win.
Far North Coast scored first but it was all Ryde North from that point as they went on to win 17-2 on Diamond 4.
Eddy Cayless drove in three runs for Ryde, while Cooper Wilson and Lachlan Heap had a pair of runs batted in.
Ryde North’s quarter-final opponent will be set later today.
Ryde North completed a perfect opening round at #ALLC2018, downing Far North Coast for its fourth-straight win.
Far North Coast scored first but it was all Ryde North from that point as they went on to win 17-2 on Diamond 4.
Eddy Cayless drove in three runs for Ryde, while Cooper Wilson and Lachlan Heap had a pair of runs batted in.
Ryde North’s quarter-final opponent will be set later today.

Eastern Athletics used the long ball to inflict Gold Coast’s first defeat at #ALLC2018.
Harrison Elustondo, Kody Taylor, Matthew Lavery and Blake Mitchell all hit home runs in a 7-6 victory on Diamond 2.
Elustondo and Lavery went back-to-back in a decisive five-run third for the Athletics.
Ty Iddon and William Baker went deep for the Cougars in a thrilling Pool A contest.
Eastern Athletics used the long ball to inflict Gold Coast’s first defeat at #ALLC2018.

A nine-run fifth capped off a solid offensive showing from Hills, who were led by homers from Eli North and Jared Ryan.
North finished with three hits and three RBIs, while Hayden Chappell also drove in three runs.
Ryan struck out five in two innings for Hills.
Hills recorded a second-straight #ALLC2018 victory, powering past Brisbane North Raiders 16-3 on Diamond 1.

Noah Scott finished with four hits, including a double and triple, as he drove in a pair of runs.
The Rays finished pool play with two wins.

After drawing level in the fourth, Cronulla piled on seven runs in the top of the seventh before holding Illawarra at bay.
Thomas Wiseman drove in three runs for Cronulla and Hunter Horsley a pair.
Hayden Freeme, Oskar Boggiss and James Burgess each had two runs batted in for Illawarra.
Freeme also fanned 11 hitters after starting to Illawarra.

Campbell Every homered as Twins picked up their second win of #ALLC2018, topping Brisbane Metro 12-2 on Diamond 1.
Every capped off an impressive offensive showing by the Twins, blasting a solo homer in the third.
Twins overcame an early 2-0 deficit to pick up a crucial win.
Harry Foreman led the charge with three runs batted in while Every and Stanley Wu drove in a pair of runs.

Kai Reid tossed a complete game shutout as Adelaide Rays collected their first win of #ALLC2018.
Reid finished with 13 strikeouts and allowed just four hits without a walk in six innings as the Rays topped Central Firebirds 3-0 in Pool A.
Reid also picked up a pair of hits, including a single Adelaide’s three-run fourth.
Firebirds’ reliever Peter Alexander struck out five in 2 2/3 scoreless innings.
Kai Reid tossed a complete game shutout as Adelaide Rays collected their first win of #ALLC2018.
Reid finished with 13 strikeouts and allowed just four hits without a walk in six innings as the Rays topped Central Firebirds 3-0 in Pool A.
Reid also picked up a pair of hits, including a single Adelaide’s three-run fourth.
