8.20pm Coastal Bay survive scare to down Hills
Pool C result: Coastal Bay Sharks 10, Hills 9
Coastal Bay Sharks scored early runs and survived a late scare to down Hills 10-9 for their first win of #ALLC2018.
Luke Hart’s three-run homer in the first put the Sharks on top and they added to their lead before Hills launched a stunning comeback in the last of the sixth.
They added six runs, including three on Eli North's two-out homer.
But Coastal Bay survived the scare to collect its first win.
Taj DePedro drove in four runs on three hits for the Sharks.

8.00pm Grow lifts Swan Hills Aces to walk-off win on Diamond 1
Pool D result: Swan Hills Aces 16, Canberra 15
Kade Grow’s RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth lifted Swan Hills Aces to a walk-off win over Canberra in a wild Pool D clash at #ALLC2018.
The Aces prevailed 16-15 as Kade Grow, Harrison Mayo and Jackson Stivey homered.
Earlier, Canberra raced to a 6-0 lead in the first inning.
But Swan Hills used an 11-run third to hit the lead before Canberra again hit back to tie the ballgame in the fifth and sixth.
Grow finished with four hits and three RBIs for the Aces.
Harry Sly and Toby Carlton Van Buizen had a couple of runs batted in for Canberra.

Pool C result: Southern Mariners 12, Hills 8
Southern Mariners survived a late comeback attempt from Hills to record a second-straight win to start #ALLC2018.
Mariners scored three runs in the top of the sixth to secure a 12-8 win.
Javis Harvey had three runs batted in for Southern, while Lachlan Smith had three hits.
Luke Hayhow and Jarred Ryan both homered for Hills as they launched a comeback attempt in the bottom of the fifth.
Southern Mariners survived a late comeback attempt from Hills to record a second-straight win to start #ALLC2018.
Mariners scored three runs in the top of the sixth to secure a 12-8 win.

4.50pm Illawarra top Southern Hills in Pool B
Pool B result: Illawarra 7, Southern Hills Warriors 4
Illawarra used a seven-run fourth and four scoreless frames from starter Lewis Mercieca to overcome Southern Hills Warriors 7-4 at #ALLC2018.
Mercieca was in control for four innings before being replaced, striking out three and giving up as many hits without a run going on the scoreboard.
Illawarra broke the scoreless deadlock in the fourth.
They opened the scoring on an error and added to it on doubles from James Burgess and Wil Hope.
Brodie Franklin-Evans blasted a two-run homer for Southern Hills in the bottom of the sixth as they added four runs to make for an interesting finish.

Pool C result: Northern Metros 19, Brisbane North 4
Jack Angeloff and Jayden Allen homered back-to-back in the third as Northern Metros claimed an impressive 19-4 win over Brisbane North at #ALLC2018.
The pair homered in successive at-bats to headline a seven-run frame for the Metros.
Northern added nine runs in the fourth to cap off an imposing offensive display.
Angeloff, Allen, James Brunskill and Carlos Salas each finished with three hits for the Metros.
Beau Allsworth homered and finished with three runs batted in for Brisbane North.
Jack Angeloff and Jayden Allen homered back-to-back in the third as Northern Metros claimed an impressive 19-4 win over Brisbane North at #ALLC2018.
The pair homered in successive at-bats to headline a seven-run frame for the Metros.
Northern added nine runs in the fourth to cap off an imposing offensive display.

Beau Allsworth homered and finished with three runs batted in for Brisbane North.
3.25pm Athletics maintain unblemished record against Manly
Pool A result: Eastern Athletics 8, Manly 3
Blake Mitchell finished with three hits as Eastern Athletics downed Manly 8-3 in Pool A at #ALLC2018 in Lismore.
Mitchell singled in the first at-bat of the game and rounded to score as the Athletics never looked back.
Manly got within a run in the third but the Athletics scored three in the fourth and two in the sixth to improve their record to 2-0 after topping the Adelaide Rays earlier on Day 1.
Mitchell and Kody Taylor both drove in a couple of runs for Eastern.
Taylor hit a solo homer in the third to make it 3-0.

Earlier, Joel Poole made a solid start on the mound.
He struck out four.
Cooper Drummond punched out three in relief.

The Mariners scored the final three runs of the ballgame to claim a first-up win.

Pool B result: Cronulla 9, Twins 2
Cronulla started its #ALLC2018 campaign with a win, scoring frequently to roll past Twins 9-2.
Bailey Toms and Liam Grant both homered and Cronulla scored runs in each of the opening four frames to build a 9-0 lead before Twins added a couple of late runs.
While on the mound starter Brendan Regan punched out six, before Jacob Palmer allowed one run in three solid relief innings.
Cronulla started its #ALLC2018 campaign with a win, scoring frequently to roll past Twins 9-2.

Jake Calver drove in two runs as the Cougars added five in the third and four in the fourth to wrap up an impressive victory.

Gold Coast Cougars notched its second win on Day 1 of #ALLC2018, downing Manly 10-0 on Diamond 4.
Starter Oscar Hyde punched out eight, allowing just one hit in 3 2/3 innings, and picked up a couple of hits.
Jake Calver drove in two runs as the Cougars added five in the third and four in the fourth to wrap up an impressive victory.

The Athletics scored four first-inning runs before retaking the lead in the fourth with a five-run frame.
Taran Rose drove in a couple of runs for Eastern, while Harrison Elustondo’s RBI-single broke the tie in the fourth.
Starter Austin Neave was solid on the mound, striking out four and giving up just one earned run.

He also struck out three after starting on the mound.
Parker Lovering struck out seven in three relief innings.

Baker allowed one unearned run on three hits in 3 1/3 innings before Matthew White closed the door.
White punched out three in 2 2/3 relief innings, also giving up one unearned run.
Offensively, Baker’s first-inning triple and a homer from Oscar Hyde got the Cougars going.

Pool D result: Adelaide Seahawks 14, Far North Coast 0
Adelaide Seahawks claimed the first win of #ALLC2018, topping Far North Coast 14-0 on Diamond 2.
Strong pitching and homers from Drew Davies and Nicholas Paparella helped the Seahawks’ cause.
Jack Bushell struck out three hitters and Zach Altamura punched out two as Adelaide kept FNC to two hits.
The Seahawks finished with nine hits, led by three from Paparella.
He singled, doubled and homered in a strong showing.
Adelaide Seahawks claimed the first win of #ALLC2018, topping Far North Coast 14-0 on Diamond 2.
