The Northern Metros will represent the Australia Region at the 2018 Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division World Series in Livermore, California.
The Metros booked their place at the World Series by downing Western Suns 10-9 to claim gold at the inaugural Australian Intermediate League Championship.
The contest was called off after six innings with rain falling and light fading.
Ty Spaulding put Northern ahead in the top of the sixth with a three-run homer.
Earlier, the Metros scored four runs in the third to take a 7-2 lead after the two Western Australia outfits traded early runs before a rain-delay.
The Suns hit back with five fourth-inning runs to tie the game and took the lead in the fifth.
Spaulding finished with four runs batted in for the Metros, while Jacob Santich and Sean Escott also drove in a couple of runs.
Spaulding also struck out five hitters after starting for Northern.
