One more day of play left at the 2015 National Womens Championships. Tomorrow will see a battle between women's baseball giants for the gold medal and the opportunity for ACT to win their first national medal.
Playing in front of a vocal home crowd ACT today were able to come from behind to win the game. For the first time, ACT will be playing for a national medal and with the hometown support they may come out with the bronze over Queensland.
After going down to Queensland in the first round, Victoria showed that they are here and they mean business. Amy Collins was a stand out for the team today pitching 5 perfect innings with 3 at bats, 2 runs, 2 hits, 3 RBIs and a double.
Tomorrows championship game will see long time giants of Australian women's baseball battle it out for the championship when New South Wales takes on Victoria for the crown.
The Bronze Medal game will take place on field 1 between Queensland and ACT at 9:00am. The Gold Medal game will follow on the same field between New South Wales and Victoria.
