4.40pm Twins hold off Newcastle on Diamond 1

#ASLC2018 result: Twins 3, Newcastle Eagles 2

Twins edged Newcastle Eagles 3-2 in the final game on Day 4 of #ASLC2018.

Kyle Douglass closed the door in the seventh with a pair of strikeouts to secure the Twins’ fourth win of the tournament.

The Twins scored the first three runs ahead of the Eagles adding two and threatening to score more.

Trenell Hutchins’ RBI-triple helped the Twins to a 2-0 lead.

Samuel Jordan and Joshua Banks drove in runs for Newcastle.

Twins edged Newcastle Eagles 3-2 in the final game on Day 4 of #ASLC2018.

Kyle Douglass closed the door in the seventh with a pair of strikeouts to secure the Twins’ fourth win of the tournament.

The Twins scored the first three runs ahead of the Eagles adding two and threatening to score more.

2.50pm Suns top #AILC2018 after late surge

#AILC2018 result: Western Suns 7, Northern Metros 4

Western Suns produced a stunning comeback to finish the #AILC2018 opening round on top.

The Suns scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to record a 7-4 win over previously undefeated North Metros on Diamond 3.

Taj Egan and Rowan Edmunds drove in a pair of runs for the Suns.

But it was starter Harrison Jackson-Schildbach who stole the show, striking out 10 Metros’ hitters in a dominant display.

For Northern, Ty Spaulding collected three hits.

Western Suns produced a stunning comeback to finish the #AILC2018 opening round on top.

The Suns scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to record a 7-4 win over previously undefeated North Metros on Diamond 3.

Taj Egan and Rowan Edmunds drove in a pair of runs for the Suns.

But it was starter Harrison Jackson-Schildbach who stole the show, striking out 10 Metros’ hitters in a dominant display.

For Northern, Ty Spaulding collected three hits.

2.30pm Mariners top Hills despite Franks' homer

#ASLC2018 result: Southern Mariners 16, Hills 9

Southern Mariners recorded a 16-9 win over Hills in their final Pool A clash at #ASLC2018.

The Mariners scored the first eight runs of the game before a fightback by Hills.

Cameron Zimmerman, Mack Turley and Luke Socic all drove in a couple of runs for the Mariners.

For the Hills, Ryan Franks blasted a two-run homer.

Dylan Mitchell finished with three RBIs.

Both teams will now wait for the release of the Day 5 schedule, after the final game of Day 4 has been completed.

Southern Mariners recorded a 16-9 win over Hills in their final Pool A clash at #ASLC2018.

The Mariners scored the first eight runs of the game before a fightback by Hills.

For the Hills, Ryan Franks blasted a two-run homer.

Dylan Mitchell finished with three RBIs.

2.00pm Armada silence Suns on Diamond 1

#ASLC2018 result: Adelaide Armada 5, Western Suns 0

Adelaide Armada warmed up for its #ASLC2018 semi-final with a 5-0 win over Western Suns on Diamond 1.

Armada broke a scoreless tie in the fifth, plating three runs, and added a couple of insurance runs an inning later.

Adam Wurfel and Bradlee Marsh each drove in two runs.

Starter Dayton Mitchell struck out seven for Adelaide.

Suns’ starter Joshua Dass did not give up an earned run, striking out three.

Adelaide Armada warmed up for its #ASLC2018 semi-final with a 5-0 win over Western Suns on Diamond 1.

#AILC2018 result: Macarthur 17, Manly 13

Macarthur notched its second win of #AILC2018, topping Manly in a three-and-a-half-hour marathon on Diamond 4.

They used a five-run second to take the lead and never looked back, despite a few close calls as Manly chased a first win.

Isaac Rameka collected three hits for Macarthur, while Masa Hirai and Jared Cupp each had two hits.

Macarthur notched its second win of #AILC2018, topping Manly in a three-and-a-half-hour marathon on Diamond 4.

They used a five-run second to take the lead and never looked back, despite a few close calls as Manly chased a first win.

11.55am Devine dazzles for Southern Mariners

#AILC2018 result: Southern Mariners 20, Ryde Hawks 10

Southern Mariners downed Ryde Hawks 20-10 in a high-scoring #AILC2018 contest on Diamond 3.

The Mariners scored seven runs in the third and held the Hawks off despite a six-run fifth.

Dylan Hind collected five hits for Southern.

Before the offences took control, Mariners’ starter Alisha Devine dazzled.

Devine struck out seven in four innings.

Southern Mariners downed Ryde Hawks 20-10 in a high-scoring #AILC2018 contest on Diamond 3.

11.45am Titans finish pool stage with win

#ASLC2018 result: Adelaide Titans 8, Gold Coast Cougars 2

Adelaide Titans finished the pool stage of #ASLC2018 with a comfortable 8-2 win over Gold Coast Cougars on Day 4.

Starter Liam Bull worked into the seventh, striking out four, as the Titans collected a fourth win in Pool A.

Brock Keding and Zac Stroud powered the Titans’ offence, driving in a pair of runs each.

Cougars’ leadoff hitter Ian Lee collected two hits.

Southern Mariners and Hills are underway on Diamond 2 in the final Pool A game ahead of the semi-finals tomorrow.

11.00am Cronulla clinch fourth win in Pool A

#ASLC2018 result: Cronulla 13, Western Meteors

Cronulla secured its fourth win in Pool A with a 13-0 victory over Western Meteors to get Day 4 of #ASLC2018 underway.

Starter Myles Chabi struck out five and Kody Roberts punched out four as Cronulla kept the Meteors scoreless on Diamond 2.

Offensively, a pair of six-run frames did the damage.

Chabi, Roberts and Mitchell McDonough each drove in two runs for Cronulla.

Roberts finished with three hits.

Cronulla secured its fourth win in Pool A with a 13-0 victory over Western Meteors to get Day 4 of #ASLC2018 underway.

The Western Meteors and Cronulla are underway on Diamond 2. Cronulla will be chasing a win to put themselves in a strong position to progress to the semi-finals. Follow the game here!

Pool B is sorted - Adelaide Armada and Western Suns will play for the top seed today - but Pool A is very much alive. Welcome back for Day 4 in Lismore! It is going to be a huge day of action at the Australian Senior League Championship presented by Bendigo Bank and Australian Intermediate League Championship. We already know Adelaide Armada and the Western Suns are semi-final bound from Pool B, so now just need to sort out Pool A. Check out the day's schedule below:
