DAY 2 RECAP: U25 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Day 2 of the U25 National Championship saw two games played between the four teams

Victoria 9, South Australia 0

Pitcher Wes DeJong tossed seven innings of one-hit baseball and struck out six batters as Victoria shut out South Australia 9-0. A six-run seventh inning led the way for VIC, which picked up its first win of the tournament.

Queensland 5, New South Wales 4

Jack Barrie hit a three-run home run as Queensland defeated New South Wales by a close score of 5-4. QLD got on the board early, with one run in each of the first two innings before Barrie's blast in the fourth made the score 5-0. NSW rallied late, scoring in each of the final four innings, but QLD held on for a 5-4 win. Josh Strong led the NSW offence, going 3-for-5 at the plate.
