Emeralds set to take on Japan in the first game at the Women’s World Cup

The Emeralds have arrived in Miyazaki, Japan and will play the first game of the ENEOS Women’s Baseball World Cup tomorrow. 

From September 1-7, eight countries will participate in 24 Baseball World Cup games, split into two pools. The Emeralds will play Japan, Venezuela and Hong Kong in a three-match round-robin, with the top two nations from each pool advancing to the second round. The standings from the second round will determine who plays in the gold medal game.

Their first game will take place on Monday September 1 at 7:00pm (Monday September 1 at 8:00 pm AEST) versus the current champions from Japan at Sun Marine Stadium.
