The Australian Emeralds didn't take their foot off the pedal in their second round matchup with The Netherlands, as they claimed an 18-0 win at the Women's World Cup.

The Emeralds piled on 15 hits in five innings against the Dutch defence, with Chelsea Forkin the main weapon, as she went 4-for-4 with three doubles, a triple and five RBIs to lift her tournament batting average to .643.

Western Australian duo Kaila Borgomastro and Morgan Doty combined for a five-inning shutout of The Netherlands, as the pair only surrendered two hits in a stellar performance.

Queenslander Taylah Welch finished with three hits and three RBI, while eight time World Cup representative Shae Lillywhite proved an impossible out at the top of the order, going 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and three stolen bases.

Australia face Puerto Rico in their next game of the second round at 8am AEST on Thursday 30 August. You can watch the game live, stay tuned to the Team Australia Baseball Facebook page for a broadcast link.
