NSW and QLD on top of the leader board at the Women’s Champs

Day 5 is complete at the 2015 National Women’s Championships in Canberra. New South Wales and Queensland both had solid wins, with the Presidents Friendship team continuing to build their skills at a national level.

New South Wales v ACT 

New South Wales played 16 of their 18 players, focusing on their younger players in order to give them valuable experience at a national level. Finishing with a 23-2 win over ACT, Marti Sementelli from NSW contributed to the win with two hits and four RBI’s.

Queensland v Presidents Friendship Team

The Presidents Friendship Team held Queensland to 3 - 1 until the bottom of the 4th, before Queensland added 8 runs to end the game 11-1. Queensland scored eleven runs from nine hits, including a RBI Double from Laura Wagner. The Presidents Friendship team is continuing to grow as a team and Queensland are confident going into the semi-finals.

Tomorrow is the last day of Round Robin play before all teams will be ranked for the semi-finals on Friday and the finals on Saturday.
