Baseball Victoria is saddened to hear of the passing of Jeff Paull, former BV General Manager and long-time supporter of our grassroots game.
During his time as GM from October 2017 to July 2020, Jeff oversaw the charter program and championed Little League participation opportunities. He was a passionate tournament director who worked tirelessly to create fair competitions and memorable atmospheres at state championships and winter carnivals.
Jeff helped launch the Charter Player Development Program, establish the VSBL Pennant Committee, and roll out the BV Development Grant Fund. He also maintained school engagement and grassroots recruitment while introducing GameChanger for tournament scoring.
Jeff also served as Acting CEO from June to August 2019 and led special projects such as the Pledge to Respect Umpires and Coaching for Autism. He strengthened partnerships with local councils and Ausport Superstore as well.
Following his departure from Baseball Victoria, Jeff went on to work as a senior manager in the livestock industry. He also served as an Officer with the Australian Navy Cadets (ANC), helping to develop teamwork and leadership skills in young people.
Jeff was a dedicated manager who gave his all to every project, both in baseball and beyond. On behalf of the Victorian baseball community, the Baseball Victoria team acknowledges Jeff’s many contributions and extends our sincere condolences to his family, especially his beloved wife and son.
