Diamondbacks (BLACK) v Eastern Athletics

A tight game between two evenly matched teams to begin the tournament with the Eastern Athletics recording the come from behind win to get their campaign off to the perfect start.

The Diamondbacks hit the scoreboard first and looked to have the game under control with a Beau Graham double breaking the game open and leading the Diamondbacks to a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third.

Three from the Athletics put them within striking distance and after an inning ending double play to keep the Diamondbacks scoreless in the top of the fourth, the Athletics carried the momentum into their inning, scoring two to record the come from behind win.

Aiden Patterson swung the bat well for the Athletics with Zeke Doyle was a menace on the base paths.

A seven run third inning from the Eastern Athletics has seen them record their second win on the opening day of this year's Little League tournament.

Sam Foote got the start for the Athletics and battled through some hot Mariners bats early in the game before handing the ball over to his bullpen with Ryder Wilson, Jack Noble and Ethan Jenkins closing out the final three innings.

For the Mariners it was Cooper Drummond who got through the first before Levi Chirico took over in the second, giving the Mariners a monster 77 pitch performance.

Special mention to Jonah Hall (Athletics) and James Kent (Mariners) who both finished the game with one home run each.

The Diamondbacks were in the zone this afternoon, pouring on 13 runs across the first two innings to put the game beyond the reach of the Mariners Grey team.

Ryan Wu and Harrison Green-Williams both pitched scoreless innings in the game while with the bats the entire Diamondbacks line-up joined the hit parade. Beau Graham hammered two doubles, Alexander Prystupa picked up his own pair of base knocks while Addison Bishop-Worn and Harry Foreman also picked up extra base hits in the win.

For the Mariners, Mason Haimona crushed one for his teams only extra base hit on the afternoon.

The Diamondbacks have kicked off their final day of the tournament with a come from behind walk-off win against the Mariners.

The Mariners hit the front at the top of the final inning with a three-run rally only for the Diamondbacks for score two of their own and take the points.

Beau Graham hit two doubles for the Diamondbacks while Harry Foreman continued to swing a hiot bat with a double of his own. For the Mariners it was Jess Brown, Joel Poole and Marshall Woods who looked most dangerous with the bats.
