Bottom 2nd and Bonbeach got a walk but went without scoring.

Bottom 3 and Andrew Jones got on with a flare to right, this brought up the top of the Bonbeach order, but the Sunshine defence rolled a 4-3 double play. That brought Brenden Kelly to bat but again Sunshine were too good and ended it there with a strikeout. Still Sunshine 4-0.

Top 4 and Matthew Davis batted after Koski walked. Two attempts at a hit and run play saw fouls off to right. A fielder’s choice at 2nd was the 1st out and then Chatwood walked for the Eagles. A pass ball and two more walks loaded the bases, Rohan Brasher got a free pass to force one in. Sunshine leading 5-0. Adam Irons hit to centre and scored one more, Sunshine 6-0. Dayle Selleck then came in to pitch for Matt Prior, Wilke brought in a run on a sac-fly to make it 7-0. Chad Galloway came to the plate with two on and two out and flied out to right, Sunshine leading 7-0.

Bottom 4 and Meddick on the hill for the Eagles got a ground ball for the 1st out, then a fielder’s choice at 2 after Hardie walked. To finish Meddick looked right in control when he threw another strikeout.

Top 5 and Selleck had settled on the mound for Bonbeach when he got the 1st two outs. Davis got on with an error and Chatwood hit to deep right to score him from 2nd and increase Sunshine’s lead to 8-0. Bonbeach with all the work to do going into the bottom of the 5th.

Top 6 and Chatwood, Kosky, Brashe, Irons, Galloway and Hornstra all hit for the Eagles to make it 13-0 to them.

Bottom 6 and Sunshine rolled a double play after Matt Prior got a hit to right. Eagles defence was again too good and they sent Bonbeach into the field after a strikeout.

Top of the 7th, Josh Simpson took the hill for the Blue Jays and Irons lead off for Sunshine with a hit up the middle. Wilke holed out to centre and Galloway got on after a muffed fly in left field. Another routine out and Bonbeach back in to bat to see if they could get 4 runs to avoid a mercy rule decision against them after 7 innings.

Bottom 7th and Halse got on after he beat the ball to 1st base from short. However it was too little too late and Sunshine got the outs to finish the game 13-0.
