Women’s Day 2 Wrap

Day 2 saw plenty of action from both the Youth Women and Women's Championships with some impressive wins and some big hits from both tournaments.


Youth Women’s
Game 1
The Western Australian’s continued their mighty form across the whole tournament with a dominating 14-0 victory over Victoria.

The Western Australian hitting was too strong for the Victorians as they remain winless in the tournament.

Game 2
It was a historic day on Game Two as Queensland Youth handed NSW Youth their first loss in five years.

The historic result was on the back of some solid hitting as Queensland led the game the entire time.

Game 3
NSW Youth Country earned their first win of the tournament with a dominating 16-2 victory over Victoria on Day Two.

Country impressed across the board with solid pitching and an impressive hitting display.

Game 4
Western Australia continued their undefeated streak with their biggest win of the tournament defeating NSW 8-6.

NSW who suffered their first loss in five years earlier in the day unfortunately were unable to rally a victory and were edged out by a gutsy Western Australian side.

Open Women’s

Game 1
The NSW opens maintained their title as tournament favourites with a dominating 18-1 win over Western Australia.

Western Australia’s pitchers had no answer to the impressive hitting performance from the NSW outfit.

Game 2
NSW then made it two-straight with another impressive performance against Canberra. NSW defeated the home side 12-1 to remain undefeated in the tournament.

Game 3
Victoria earned their first win of the tournament with a 23-10 victory over Queensland.

Both teams struggled from the mound as the hitting continued all day but Victoria’s class shined through with a 14 run inning in the third.

Game 4
After suffering a heavy defeat to Victoria earlier in the day Queensland Opens rallied to claim a 23-11 victory over Canberra.

The home side started well but eventually lost the lead in the fourth and couldn’t catch the strong Queensland hitting late in the game.
