Start Scoring Baseball
Baseball scoring is an excellent way to watch a game of baseball and to be part of the action, just by lifting a few fingers!
Victorian Baseball Scorers Inc. (VBS)
VBS is associated with the Baseball Australia Scoring Advisory Panel (BASAP), which implements and develops consistent standards and methods of scoring Australia-wide. The Committee is responsible for assisting Victorian scorers at any level through the management of scoring clinics for scorers just beginning through to our most experienced officials, coordinating scoring accreditation courses as well as appointing scorers to represent Victoria at national and international events. Feel free to contact VBS via email and follow on Facebook to learn more and sign up for scoring clinics.
Nominations for Scorer of the Year Award

The Victorian Baseball Scorers Inc are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Scorer of the Year 2026!
We are pleased to provide clubs and individuals with the opportunity to recognise and reward hard working, longstanding scorers at their club or within their association. These scorers don’t need to be accredited to be nominated - just people who have gone above and beyond for their club. Nominees must be current VBS members.
The winner will be presented with a plaque, a certificate and an Officeworks voucher.
The criteria for selection is within the Google Nomination Form. Your chosen nominee may not have met every element listed, but that doesn’t mean they can’t win it! We recognise that not everyone will have had the same opportunities available to them, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t given their time and effort for their club or association!
Nominations are due in by Monday 1st October 2026, with the winners to be announced at the AGM (date TBA)

Scorebooks
Dingo Print sells modified scorebooks (often used at Little League/Charter tournaments) that offer a simplified setup. These are ideal for beginner scorers and/or junior teams.
Dingo Print is based in Brisbane and can post you a book. Be sure to specify that you are after the Little League books. You can contact them by:

We also encourage our scorers to use the Baseball Australia-approved scorebooks (available in 9, 12 and 15 batter sizes). They are the base of our clinics, great for capturing all the statistics we keep, and are available from Ausport.
