The 2025 Little League State Championships wrapped up in style on Sunday 13 April at Knox Baseball Club.

Little League Major

Rangers 11, Mariners 4

Dominic S collected three hits in three at-bats as Rangers defeated Mariners 11-4 on Sunday at Diamond 3. Dominic doubled in the first, singled in the third, and doubled again in the fifth.

Rangers won thanks in part to seven runs in the fifth inning. Axl D drew a walk, scoring one run and Dominic doubled, scoring two runs. Next, Tate S, Carter M, Jake R, and Archie G all drew bases-loaded walks.

Mariners got on board in the top of the first inning after Flynn R singled, scoring one run, and Leon K doubled, scoring two runs.

Rangers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Dominic singled down the left field line, and Mariners made an error, each scoring one run.

Cooper H singled down the right field line, which helped Mariners tie the game at four in the top of the fifth.

Tate stepped on the hill first for Rangers. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking four.

Mia W started on the hill for Mariners. The hurler surrendered nine hits and six runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking three.

Patrick L threw one inning of no-run ball for Rangers in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

Rangers tallied 11 hits in the game. Nathaniel K and Carter each collected multiple hits while the team had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks, including two apiece for Archie and Quin M. The defense turned one double play in the game.

Leon drove the middle of the lineup, leading Mariners with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Leon, Mia, Flynn, and Cooper each collected one hit.

Rangers 6, Mets 4

Rangers got out to a 5-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 6-4 victory over Mets on Sunday. Mets closed the gap by scoring on a single and a double.

Rangers got on board in the top of the third inning after Quin M grounded out, Archie G stole home, and Axl D singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Aiden J stepped on the mound first for Rangers. The hurler gave up four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Nathaniel K appeared in relief.

Kazushi A led things off on the bump for Mets. The hurler allowed one hit and three runs over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three.

Aiden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Rangers in hits. Axl and Quin each drove in one run while Archie and Jake R each stole multiple bases with eight total in the game. The defense was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error as Tate S made the most plays in the field with nine.

Hunter J went 1-for-2 at the plate and led Mets with three runs batted in. Harvey N, Hunter, Jax M, Henry T, Cody I, and Kazushi each collected one hit while the defense turned one double play.

Athletics 16, Twins 10

There were runs aplenty on Sunday at Diamond 2, as Athletics bested Twins 16-10. Twins collected nine hits and Athletics had eight, coming back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the first.

Twins got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Oliver C drew a walk, scoring one run, Brodie L singled, scoring two runs, and David R grounded out, scoring two more.

Athletics scored five runs on one hit in the top of the second inning. Carter M drew a walk and Hayden H singled, each scoring one run. Ewen F and Austin N also drew bases-loaded walks, while an error scored one more.

Twins took the lead in the bottom of the second. Jaxon W singled, scoring two runs, to give Twins the leg up, 7-5.

Athletics flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 10-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Nathaniel S that drove in three.

Audrey C started on the bump for Athletics. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and nine runs (five earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. Carter appeared in relief.

David led things off on the bump for Twins. The pitcher allowed one hit and five runs over two innings, striking out one and walking nine.

Ewen, Carter, Charlie A, Hayden, Audrey, Nathaniel, Max K, and Tobias H each collected one hit for Athletics. Tobias led with two runs batted in as the left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Austin led with three of the team's 15 walks, while Ewen stole two bases with eight total for the game.

Jaxon provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Twins with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Billy H and Isaac L each stole multiple bases, with eight overall. Twins turned one double play in the game.

Intermediate League

Twins 15, Mets 9

Twins scored eight runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Mets 15-9 on Sunday at Diamond 1. Luis F singled, scoring two runs, Chester F singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Shaw D also hit an RBI single, Ayrton L hit a 2-RBI triple, and a wild pitch brought home one more.

Mets jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Toa R singled, scoring two runs, and Harvey V grounded out, scoring one run.

Twins added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Augustus H walked, Jackson F singled down the right field line, and Chester grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.

An error extended the Twins lead to 12-3 in the bottom of the third inning.

Mason C pitched three innings in relief for Twins. The pitcher gave up one hit and three runs (zero earned) while striking out six and walking three.

Luis stepped on the bump first for Twins. The hurler allowed two hits and three runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking two.

Harvey pitched first for Mets. The hurler allowed seven hits and 11 runs (seven earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking four.

Twins collected 10 hits in the game. Ayrton and Shaw were a force together in the lineup, as they each had two hits while hitting back-to-back.

Chester provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Twins with two runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Isaac D, Tyler T, Jackson, Mason, Chester, and Luis each stole multiple bases with 21 total for the team.

Samuel P and Harvey each collected two hits for Mets. Toa and Harvey each drove in two runs while the lineup tallied six walks. Lachlan P and Bailey M led the team with two walks each. Samuel, Lachlan, Bailey, Alex G, Heath D, and Harvey each stole multiple bases with 14 total in the game.

Mariners 18, Rangers 13

A back-and-forth battle ended with Mariners outlasting Rangers, 18-13. Mariners scored first on an error in the opening frame, before adding runs on singles by Gene B and K Otera, a double by Axel K, and a triple by Dean R.

Rangers got on board in the bottom of the first with a groundout by Nolan J to score Finn W who walked to get on base. Three more walks and two singles by Ca'Del S and Angus M made it a 6-4 ballgame, with Mariners still in front.

Samuel W grounded out to score another run for Mariners in the top of the second. Axel and Dean had RBI hits to make it 10-4 in favour of the Mariners in the top of the third.

Their next time up, Rangers had singles from Finn W, Nolan J, and Lee M to come within four runs, but eventually Mariners pulled away for good.

Ca'Del S and Lee M shared pitching duties for Rangers, while Leo W started for Mariners.

Athletics 19, Mariners 0

Joshua M collected three hits in three at-bats, as Athletics defeated Mariners 19-0 on Sunday at Diamond 1. Joshua doubled in the first inning and both singled and doubled in the third inning.

Athletics won thanks in part to 12 runs in the third inning. Joshua and Haydn D doubled and Leo M singled, each scoring one run. Next, Phillip T singled, scoring two runs, Alexander K doubled, scoring one run, and Nixon D doubled, scoring another. An error also scored two runs before RBI singles for Jackson B, Evangelynn L, and Joshua.

Athletics got on board in the bottom of the first inning after Charlie F doubled to right field and Evangelynn and Joshua doubled to left field. Haydn walked, Leo doubled to left field, Phillip grounded out, and Alexander singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Phillip stepped on the hill first for Athletics. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking none.

Baxter M started the game for Mariners. The hurler surrendered seven hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one.

Charlie pitched one inning of no-run ball for Athletics in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

Athletics accumulated 20 hits in the game. Charlie and Joshua each collected three hits while Hao (Tony) H, Jackson, Evangelynn, Alexander, and Leo also had multiple hits.

Hao (Tony), Charlie, Joshua, Phillip, and Haydn each stole multiple bases for Athletics with 15 total in the game. The defense was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jackson made the most fielding plays with six.

Jasper H led Mariners with one hit in one at bat.
