The 21U World Cup team is currently attending a warm-up camp in preparation for the first ever 21U IBAF World Cup held from the 7-16 November in Taichung, Chinese Taipei.
For the eleven nations competing, this is the final competition before announcing the twelve teams who will participate in ‘The Premier 12’, a new baseball tournament in 2015, which will feature the world’s top 12 baseball teams.
Australia is currently ranked 15th in the World with only 72 points separating No.11 (Italy) from Australia. With a 100 points being awarded to the 21U champions, teams will be bringing their top game to secure their position in the ‘Premier 12’.
As well as intense training, the team will play two warm-up games against Blacktown Workers and the Sydney Blue Sox at Blue Sox Stadium to further prepare them in their quest for gold.
