The Baseball Victoria Board is pleased to welcome Vanessa Buys to the role of Finance Director.
Vanessa joins the Board following the casual vacancy created by the resignation of previous Finance Director Greg Hill in July 2026.
“We’re delighted to welcome Vanessa, who brings excellent financial acumen and an established connection to our baseball community,” BV President Kerry Gassner said. “We also sincerely thank Greg, who strengthened our financial footing and gave so much to Victorian baseball. We’re grateful for his contribution, and he will always be welcome back in our game.”
About Vanessa Buys
Vanessa brings extensive experience in finance, investment and governance, having worked across corporate finance and investment management in Australia and the UK. She has particular experience in financial strategy, acquisitions and working with management teams to support sustainable growth.
Vanessa is currently a Board Director and Chair of the Finance Committee at ELTHAM College and Treasurer of Greenhills Montmorency Baseball Club. Her involvement in community baseball gives her a strong understanding of the role clubs and volunteers play in the sport, and she is passionate about using her finance and governance experience to support the continued growth and sustainability of baseball in Victoria.
