The Adelaide Armada lost their opening game at the Senior League World Series in unfortunate fashion, losing 3-2 on a walkoff double.
Both starting pitchers were exceptional on the day, with the Armada's Ky Hampton only giving up one earned run across his six innings.
The Armada scored the opening run of the ballgame care of an error in the second inning, with Mason Clavell scoring the team's opening run of the World Series.
Mason Clavell was the only Armada hitter to claim a pair of hits on the day with Ethan Marchioro and Rion Sato both picking up an RBI each.
The Caribbean plated a pair of runs in the fourth before Marchioro drove in Curtis Mead to tie the ballgame in the fifth to tie up the ballgame.
The Armada had runners at first and second in the final inning but couldn't drive the runners in. From there, Angel Flores proved the difference, driving in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
