The Adelaide Armada claimed a 3-0 win against Asia-Pacific to stay in contention for the Senior League World Series crown in Easley, South Carolina.
The Armada's pitching staff were efficient and dominant, with Austin McClure (2.1IP, 2H, 1K, 1BB), Will Kortekaas (3.2IP, 1H, 3K) and Curtis Mead (1IP, 0H, 1K) combining to shut-out Asia-Pacific in an outstanding defensive performance.
Mason Clavell again was strong at the plate going 2-for-4 with a triple, while Reed Stewart and Ky Hampton drove in a run apiece for the Armada.
Asia-Pacific threatened in the bottom of the third with runners at first and third with one out, however Will Kortekaas came in to induce two pop ups and extinguish the rally and keep the Armada's shut-out alive.
The Armada pushed an insurance run across in the fifth, and Curtis Mead threw a perfect final inning to maintain his team's push for the Senior League World Series Championship.
The Armada will now face the winner of Europe-Africa/Canada at 9.30am AEST on Thursday 3 August.
