Australia will face two of the top three teams in the world in the opening round of the U12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan at the end of July.
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced overnight that Australia will feature in Group B alongside world number three South Korea, and world number two, the USA.
Mexico (#6), Venezuela (#9) and Italy (#16) rounds out Australia's first round opponents, with all games to be played at the $130-million (USD) Tainan Asia Pacific Stadiums.
Australia's 2017 U12 World Cup team finished 10th after compiling a 2-6 record.
