New South Wales exploded out of the blocks and didn't look back as they recorded a mercy-rule victory over the Australian Capital Territory.
Luke Krkovski tossed three one-hit innings and his offence backed him up perfectly, as NSW raced to a 12-0 lead after two.
Caleb Shepherd and Blake Cavill lead the offence with three hits, with both driving in two runs apiece.
Grant Craft tripled for the ACT, while James Warwick, Aaron Riley and Trent Buchanan drove in their first RBI of the tournament.

New South Wales Country jumped out to an early lead, but Western Australia pulled it all the way back to record a hard-fought win on Diamond 1.
Country lead 7-4 in the fifth, but WA scored eight of the last 10 runs to record a 13-9 victory.
Caiden Nicoletto - who has spent some time with the Perth Heat this season - was a perfect 4-for-4 and needed a homer to complete the cycle.
Jarred Hutchins and Ben Drew finished with a team-high three RBI for WA.
Drew's bases clearing triple in the eighth gave WA the lead, and Caiden Deal finished the job, tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings to end the ballgame.
Despite his team's loss, Sam McLean put in a sparkling performance for Country on day one, going 4-for-4 with a single, two doubles and a triple. McLean drove in five of his team's nine runs.

The 2019 Victorian State Teams enjoyed a warm send-off Monday night at Waverley Baseball Club, an exciting moment with the 2019 Australian Youth Championships just days away. The annual Jersey Presentation tradition continued as the 80 chosen players and 16 coaches and officials across all four teams gathered for a memorable evening of congratulations and well wishes.
Following a sit-down dinner provided by Waverley, High Performance Manager Damian Shanahan welcomed all players and parents and thanked them for their commitment and dedication to the upcoming championships. He also acknowledged the coaches and officials for undertaking their roles and putting so much time and energy into preparing the teams for this opportunity.
Next, Chris Harman from the U16 Whites and Scott Meager from the U16 Blues presented their players with official game jerseys. Baseball Victoria CEO Justin Huber addressed the attendees and imparted some valuable words of wisdom, including the importance of being a team player and enjoying the moment.
Ben Laux of the U18 Whites and Marshall Skinner of the U18 Blues continued with the presentation of the official jerseys.
The U16 and U18 teams will fly to Sydney this Thursday with the championships kicking off on Friday, January 11th and continuing through Sunday, January 20th at Blacktown International Sportspark.
These talented Victorian players will do their best to leave their mark on the National Championships with outstanding performances while making memories that will last a lifetime.

Alex has won $500 for his baseball club.
Alex Cain has played baseball for Baulkham Hills Baseball Club for eight years. He has had limited opportunity to play at the highest level but continues to support his club
This year he has helped coach the U10 side, umpires 8.30am games before he plays at 10.30am each Saturday and was selected in the Blues side that went to Singapore and won the Thanksgiving tournament.

He is one of the longest serving juniors at the club and is a great role model for the younger players

Baseball Australia would like to congratulate Lachlan Jones from the Surfers Paradise Baseball Club, the first ever Brut Little Leaguer of the Week!
Lachlan has won $500 for his club
Lachlan, (also know as Lachie, Jonesy or Dory) is a Little Leaguer at Surfers Paradise Baseball Club who lives and breathes the Little League motto.
He shows courage every week, training hard to continue to improve so that he can achieve his goals.
His character is outlined by the many affectionate nicknames above. On field, he leads his teammates in warm up, shows leadership as a catcher and is always encouraging to his team mates.
He shows such loyalty to the club in so many ways! He always wears his uniform with pride, and helps around the club whenever and however he can.
