The round games wrapped up on the fourth day of the 2023 Australian Youth Championships, with Victoria's U16 and U18 State Teams working hard on the field.

U16: Vic 9, NSW 1
Victoria scored three in the first on a triple by Andrew Land, a groundout by William Kent, and a single by Zak Stafilis. They added another three in the second and one in the third before a final two came around in the seventh.
Robinson Smith was on the hill for Victoria, giving up just one run on three hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Out of 10 hits on the day, Land, Hudson Pallay, and Mitch Langworthy had two each.
U16: Vic 8, QLD 7
Victoria pulled away late in an 8-7 victory on Sunday afternoon. The game was tied at five with Victoria batting in the top of the fifth when Hudson Pallay's sac fly scored a run. Victoria had 11 hits and gave up nine in the high-scoring affair.
Andrew Land hit into a fielder's choice, scoring the first run before a bases-loaded hit by pitch scored another. Victoria scored one in the third, three in the fifth, and two in the sixth.
Big hits on the day included Cade White's RBI single and Nathan Rumbelow's huge triple to bring home two runs.
Hamish Stone led things off on the hill for Victoria. Stone surrendered three runs on two hits over two innings, striking out three.
Victoria tallied 11 hits in the game. Samuel Walk, Rumbelow, and William Kent collected two hits each.
U18: Vic 8, NSW 3
Victoria took the lead on Declan Speirs' single in the first inning and ended up with eight hits to NSW's seven.
Three runs came around in the third with singles from Jack Ratcliffe, Lachlan Smith, and Harper Rickard. Victoria scored four runs in the sixth inning with RBIs to Jack Ratcliffe and Speirs.
Lachlan Amon toed the rubber for Victoria. The ace allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Victoria totaled seven hits, including two apiece for Speirs and Ratcliffe.
U18: WA 5, Vic 3
Victoria lost the lead late in a 5-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with WA batting in the top of the fifth when a single scored two runs.
Victoria fired up the offense in the first inning on Lachlan Smith's single. They tied it up at three when Matthew Johnston drew a walk, scoring one run in the fourth inning.
Aimon Dowling toed the rubber for Victoria. The bulldog went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two. Addison Bishop-Worn and Smith entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Evan Maury, Jack Ratcliffe, Taran Rose, and Smith each managed one hit to lead Victoria.
#AYC2023 Day 5
Monday will be a big day at #AYC2023 with Victoria's U16 team playing WA at 10am and NSW at 12:45pm. The U18s take on NSW at 3:30pm, followed by Queensland at 6:15pm.
