The emphasis of the partnership is on creating links between Schools and Clubs, assisting with School Carnivals and School Representative teams, the upskilling of Teachers, whilst providing a fun baseball experience for all Students.

Through this agreement we aim to work strategically with Baseball Victoria to increase interest and participation in SSV inter-school Baseball competitions with a flow on effect to Baseball Victoria clubs” said Nick Mooney Strategic Manager for School Sport Victoria.

The school yard is a fantastic place for children to learn about the many sports on offer, and Baseball Victoria is extremely pleased to be able to partner with SSV to offer Baseball as one of those sports This partnership with SSV also inks directly to the recently launched new Junior Structure as part of Baseball Victoria’s strategic commitment to Gain, Train and Retain.

Neale Price, Baseball Victoria CEO stated “Baseball’s entry level program of T-Ball is a great, non-threatening, fun, inclusive and safe game for children to play. It is the foundation game for Baseball, with many Schools already offering T-Ball to their students. The partnership with SSV will assist us in making that critical link from Schools into Clubs.”
