Baseball Victoria Hall of Fame Players: Don Deeble

Don Deeble had a storied career in representative and club baseball. Don represented Victoria 15 times between 1954 and 1968, winning best Victorian player 4 times.
He was an Australian player 6 times, including the first team to travel overseas to Manila. Don was the best series player in the Australian team in 1955.
Don also had an outstanding career in club baseball. He won the best player 9 times for Sunshine Baseball Club and won the Victorian Baseball Association best player George Heron trophy 5 times, including winning 3 consecutive awards.
Don received the Australian sporting achievement in 2000. Don was inducted into the Victorian Claxton Shield team of the century in 2002 and the Baseball Australia Hall of fame in 2005. In 2009 Don was inducted into the Victorian Claxton Shield diamond all star team and in 2010 was a member of the team of the century at Preston Baseball Club.
At Sunshine Baseball Club Don is a member of the Hall of Fame and in 2013 was included in the top 21 players and inducted as a legend.
