Doncaster 14 vs Malvern 9
It’s now how you start it’s how you finish.
At least that old cliché applied to Doncaster on Sunday in their 14-9 victory over host Malvern.
Down 5-0 after three frames, the Dragons were buoyed the rest of the way by solid hitting up and down the lineup. Every batter had at least one hit and reached base twice.
Shaky at first, starter Simon Fitzmaurice settled down beginning in the fourth, ceding just one hit in the next four frames before giving way to Ben Utting who threw the final three innings and also knocked in three runs.
