Jennie Moloney is one of Australia’s most qualified and experienced scorers that spans a career of nearly 50 years that encompasses Australian youth championships, both incarnations of the Australian Baseball League and international tournaments and events.

Since 2002 Jennie has been a Council of Australian Baseball Scorers level 5 accredited scorer. Jennie has held numerous administrative positions. She was director of Baseball Victoria’s Scorer’s Association between 2002 and 2007, the Australian representative on the International Baseball Federation’s Scorer’s Board in 2011, the Australian representative on the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s baseball Scoring Commission in 2016 and 2017 and appointed in 2018 to the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s baseball Scoring Commission.

She attended the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s baseball Scoring Commission meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2019. Jennie passed the Sydney Olympics examination in 1999 and the International Baseball Federation international accreditation in 2000. She has scored at numerous international events since 1999, including the Intercontinental Cup, the World Cup, the Sydney and Beijing Olympics, the Premier 12, the Asian Games, the Under 12 and 18 World Championships and the Women’s World Cup.

Jennie was a scorer at Claxton Shields and also in the old Australian Baseball League for the Melbourne Monarchs between 1992 and 1998, for Geelong-Korea between 2018 and 2023 in the current Australian Baseball League and also for the Australian Baseball League All Star game. Jennie has also been scorer for visiting Asian teams, the Chinese Taipei national team, the Chiba Lotte Marines from Nippon Professional Baseball and the Hanwha Eagles from the Korean Baseball Organisation. Jennie was an official scorer at several Under 16 and 18 national youth championships and at the Australian women’s and youth women’s national championships.

Jennie’s longevity as a scorer is demonstrated by her service since 1976 as scorer for the Williamstown Baseball Club. Jennie has also been an instructor and coordinator, having been an instructor for the World Baseball Softball Confederation in Sydney and Fukushima Japan and scoring director for the Tokyo Olympics. Over Jennie’s career she has received several awards, including life membership of Williamstown Baseball Club in 2003, scorer for the Williamstown Baseball Club team of the century in 2008, the Australian Baseball Federation technical official of the year in 2013 and the World Baseball Softball Confederation international scorer of the year in 2019.
