Baseball Victoria Hall of Fame Service to Baseball: John Viney

John Viney has an outstanding career in baseball that encompasses representative playing and coaching and scouting for a Major League Baseball organisation.

John represented Victoria at the Claxton Shield for 11 consecutive years from 1960 to 1970.  He was an Australian representative in 1968-9. John has ‘Legend’ status at the Sunshine Baseball Club. John was a Baseball Victoria provisional manager for successful years from 1984 to 1986.

He was the Victorian Under 15 manager for 4 years and the Victorian State junior coaching coordinator between 1985 and 1990. John was an international scout with the Milwaukee Brewers organisation for a number of years.
