Baseball Australia has locked in the location for next month’s National Junior Camp and added six players to the list of invitees, including two more from Victoria.
The Australian Institute of Sport and Narrabundah Ballpark in Canberra will host the camp from 16-24 April, with this event serving as a key step in Team Australia’s preparations for September’s WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in the U.S.
Victorians Felix Brunner and Lachlan Smith have been added to the provisional list of 44 invitees named at the start of the month, which also includes Bronson Neave, Charlie Pierson, Declan Speirs, Genevieve Beacom, Hayden Peoples, Jayden Kim, Nick Bertucci, and Nick Parton.
These U-18 athletes were selected alongside fellow high performance prospects from around the country following an in-depth review of data collected at the 2022 National Showcase Series events in each state.
