Osaka University proved to be tough competition for the Australians, shutting them down in five innings 13-3. Grace Zylstra started the game strong with a lead off single, but Australia didn't put their first run on the board till the third. The bats started to swing in the fourth with another single from Zylstra, a single from Megan Molles, a double from Vanessa Clifford, and a huge triple from Georgia Bower, but the girls only managed an additional two runs. Australia played some great defensive baseball turning three double plays and a standout diving catch from Bower but Osaka University was just too strong in the end.
