Round robin play has finished at the 2015 Under 16 National Youth Championships presented by Rawlings in Sydney. After a wet start to the tournament, the sun has been shining and competitive baseball has been played.
A massive downpour on the first day of the tournament caused play to be suspended until today. South Australia already had a run on the board off singles from Curtis Mead and Damon Arnold prior to play today. The game remained scoreless for the rest of the innings resulting in a win for South Australia.
Victoria White v Western Australia
Western Australia secured another win, defeating Victoria White 4-2 in a suspended game from day 1. WA were hot on the hill with pitcher Jackson Riley pitching 2 innings with no hits and Mitchell James pitching 5 giving up one hit and two runs.
Country New South Wales v South Australia
Country New South Wales had a big win against South Australia, putting on the board 8 runs. A huge triple from Nicholas Anderson-Vine to centerfield and 3 singles made up the four hits for Country.
Another win for Victoria Blue, beating ACT 3-1, allowing them to finish in second place after round robin play at the championships. The game was tied up 1-all in the third, it wasn’t until the 7th that Vic Blue added another two runs to result in the win. A double from Nathan Picchioni allowed two runs for Vic Blue for the win.

Tomorrow all teams will play in the semi-finals with the top four ranked teams will compete to play in the finals and be crowned the 2015 champions.
