Next up on Baseball Victoria’s winter tournament calendar is the 2024 Under 18 State Winter Championship at Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Club from 6-7 July.
Bendigo, Geelong, Latrobe Valley, MWBL Diamond Valley, MWBL Ringwood, and host association North Eastern will all compete for the championship.
“Our State Winter Championship season is off to a fantastic start, and we are excited to watch Under 18 teams from across the state as they showcase their skills and have a blast on the field,” BV Tournament Officer Tony McPherson said. “Thank you to the North Eastern Baseball Association and Wangaratta Rangers for hosting this wonderful event and good luck to all the players.”
There will be 15 games across Saturday and Sunday morning to determine the semi-finalists before finals in the afternoon.
“North Eastern Baseball Association is excited to welcome a great group of players to Wangaratta this weekend as the Rangers have been hard at work preparing for the tournament,” President Heath Anders said. “Thank you to Baseball Victoria and Rural City of Wangaratta for the opportunity and ongoing support, and all the club volunteers who support baseball in our great region.”
