The WA clash – a rematch of the most recent Australian Women’s Championship gold medal game in 2019 – will be one of eight games broadcast throughout the event at baseball.com.au and on baseball.com.au’s YouTube channel.
First pitch is slated for 7pm in the broadcast game. Each night a prime time blockbuster will be broadcast in partnership with Spacequake Sports, and the medal games on Thursday 21 April will also be broadcast.
Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland Maroon will each contest one doubleheader across the event prior to an off day. The ACT, Queensland Development, SA and WA will play one game each day.
All teams will play one game against each other with the top two teams after the opening six days to face off in the gold medal game on 21 April. Third and fourth following the opening round will face off for bronze.
It will be the first time Adelaide has hosted the open women’s tournament since it began and also marks the return of the event after COVID-19 wiped out the past two years.
