In a correction to the previously circulated information, Baseball Victoria is pleased to announce the final nominees for the 2019/20 Victorian Summer Baseball League Pennant Committee, subject to final ratification by the Baseball Victoria Board of Directors.
All members from the 2018/19 Committee are committed to returning. Chairman Michael Gourlay, Kelsey Quinn, Stewart Howe, and fellow VSBL club-voted members Dwain Richardson, Jake Sinclair and John King, with the potential inclusion of club-voted member Jason Blair, join the list of nominees. This will bring the VSBL Pennant Committee to a total of seven members, up from six in the previous year. Together the Pennant Committee will work to ensure a safe and fair VSBL competition for all.
After a successful 2018/19 season, the VSBL Pennant Committee is looking to continue to use their expertise and enthusiasm to improve the VSBL competition. Richardson is an experienced junior coach and current president of Upwey Ferntree Gully Baseball Club who has also played, scored and umpired. Sinclair is a member of Newport Baseball Club who has significant playing and coaching experience and a passion for serving the Victorian baseball community, while King is the current president of Fitzroy Lions Baseball Club and he has been heavily involved in improving the sport over the past decades. Blair has been instrumental in the governing of the Baseball Victoria junior competitions and events.
