Baseball Victoria is saddened to hear of the passing of Paul "Bluey" Tierney, a beloved member of Blackburn Baseball Club and the Victorian baseball community.
Paul was part of the inaugural Blackburn team 61 years ago and played on the club's first-ever premiership side. He went on to serve as a junior and senior coach, secretary, treasurer, and financial supporter of the club, especially during the rebuilding years.
He passed on his love of the game to his children, long-time players and life members David Tierney and Andrew Tierney and current Blackburn Club President Brooke Tierney. You can read more about his contributions to the club and the community HERE.
