Congratulations to Victoria on finishing in second place at the 2022 Australian Women's Baseball Championship after going 6-0 to start the tournament and displaying exceptional efforts throughout the week.
The Victorian Women's Team has made the state's baseball community proud with a strong silver medal finish, including three shutout victories, 75 runs for, and just 15 runs against.
Thank you to head coach Samantha Hamilton and coaches/officials Duane Davenport, Stephen Black, Ursula Howard, and Leah Trebilcock for their support leading up to the tournament and throughout an action-packed week of women's baseball. The playing group also benefited from their training with the Baseball Victoria High Performance Program headed by Damian Shanahan and Keli’i Zablan.
To wrap up the tournament on a strong note, three Victorians picked up #AWBC2022 Awards. Infielder Bronwyn Gell was named tournament MVP and also picked up the fielding award, while Morgan Doty was named batting champion and Allie Bebbere claimed the pitching champion award.
Congratulations Victoria!
