Congratulations to the U16 Victorian State Team on a strong silver medal finish at the 2022 Australian U16 Youth Championship in Redcliffe, Queensland.
Although NSW won the gold medal game 12-6, Victoria put up a great effort, battling back and at one point taking the lead before NSW rallied with seven runs.
Ratcliffe went 3-for-3 while Liam Sullivan doubled and Will Cavanagh, Noah Scott, Max Saggers, and Ben Howard also got on base with timely hits.
Victoria finished 5-3 overall with Jack Ratcliffe taking out MVP and Logan O'Brien winning the Golden Arm Award.
Ratcliffe had 11 hits (six singles, three doubles, and two home runs) and eight RBIs throughout the tournament. O'Brien picked up two wins with a 1.750 ERA over eight innings.
Well done to all U16 Victorian State Team players!
