Congratulations to Victorian pitcher Angus Stals who recently committed to Three Rivers College.
The 18-year-old national junior squad member will join the Missouri-based Raiders, continuing the Division I junior college’s strong ties to Australia.
Angus hopes to one day play professionally and looks forward to taking what he learned in Baseball Victoria Aces Academy to the next level.
He enjoyed many years playing with the Greensborough Burras and Doncaster Dragons, and represented Victoria at the U16 and U18 level. He also took part in Victoria’s National Showcase Series this year and struck out 10 in seven innings for Victoria Blue at the 2020 U18 Australian Youth Championship in Geelong.
Stals’ commitment follows Queenslander Nicolas Hawkins announcement on joining the Raiders. They won't be the only Aussies there as ACT duo Trent Buchanan and Stuart Tharle, Queensland’s Kailen Hamson and West Australian pitcher Lachlan Waite are all with Three Rivers now.
