AWC Recap

With the Australian Women's Championships now concluded for another year, we are very excited to see our Victorian women bring home the title of National Champions!

Winning 8-5 over Western Australia, the Victorian team bought home their second gold in 3 years. This comes after a dominance over the entire tournament, with Victoria winning 8 out of their total 9 games played, only losing once to Western Australia in the Qualifying Final.

The Victorian women built an early 8-1 lead and held off a late Western Australia comeback, with Narumi Kametani’s strong start and Allie Bebbere’s final strikeout coming in clutch to seal the championship.

Victoria also saw the Golden Arm and Golden Glove awards going to Narumi Kametani and Emi Saiki respectively.

AYWC Recap

In the Australian Youth Women's Championship, Victoria placed fourth overall. However, they came back claiming their first Pool Play Youth Victory since 2023.

After a tough start to the tournament with no wins, the Victorian girls came back with a fight in the consolation match against Queensland, defeating them 10-6.

Every player in the winning line-up against Queensland had a hit, with RBI from 5 different players, a home run from Hannah Wilson-Powell and Paige Anders throwing 4.0 innings, only allowing 5 hits and 2 walks.

Despite a tricky tournament, these Victorian girls did brilliantly and we are very proud of all their efforts.
