Baseball Victoria is pleased to announce the head coaches for the 2020 Women’s State Teams, which will compete at the Australian Women’s Championships from 10-17 April 2020 in Canberra.
Women’s Blue – Dean Anglin
Dean returns to his role as head coach of Victoria Women’s Blue, a role he has held since 2014. Dean led the 2019 Victoria Women’s Blue team to a gold medal finish last April, and he is looking ahead to another successful campaign in 2020.
Women’s White – Ursula Howard
As a former player and coach in women’s baseball, Ursula Howard looks forward to taking on the role of Victoria Women’s White head coach. For the past three years Ursula has been the head coach of the Victoria Youth Women’s State Team, as well as the women’s program at Doncaster Baseball Club.
Together these individuals will lead the Victorian Women’s State Team Program through another fantastic year.
“I’m pleased we have Dean Anglin and Ursula Howard ready to guide our talented players through the Victorian Women’s State Team program,” Baseball Victoria Talent Development Manager Damian Shanahan said. “They are proven leaders who are committed to player development and helping our women’s players to achieve their baseball goals."
Details on registration for the Women’s State Team tryouts will be released in coming days.
