CLUB DESCRIPTION
Ormond Glenhuntly Baseball Club (OGBC) has been in existence, in various forms, for more than 90 years. Based at EE Gunn Reserve in Ormond, off Dorothy Avenue in the SE suburbs City of Glen Eira, the club competes in Baseball Victoria’s Summer League and, depending on interested numbers each year, can also field sides in winter competitions. An open and inclusive club that accommodates senior and junior players and teams of all skill levels, cultural backgrounds and experience, OGBC returned to Division 2 in 2020-21 off the back of premierships in Summer League Division 3 Firsts and Reserves. Numbers within our juniors’ program are steady and growing, and we hope to have an increased presence in the 2020-21 juniors’ Summer program. New players - seniors and juniors, males and females - are welcome.
As a reminder for all teams playing at Ormond Glenhuntly this season, the club’s diamond has a synthetic mound and therefore metal cleats are not permitted. Those teams that are scheduled to play at the ground will have a reminder sent to them via email prior to the weekend they are scheduled to play in addition to reminders provided by the club.
